The 2025 Grand National at Aintree etched itself into Irish National Hunt history as one of its most significant and emotionally charged chapters. As the field turned onto the Elbow, the race reached a breathtaking climax. Ultimately, it was Nick Rockett who surged ahead to claim victory, ridden by amateur jockey Patrick Mullins in a performance that captivated the racing world. The triumph was a family affair of unprecedented proportions.

Nick Rockett led home a historic 1–2–3 for Willie Mullins, with the previous year’s champion, I Am Maximus, in second and Grangeclare West in third. This clean sweep, quickly dubbed “The Mullins Treble,” marked the first time a single trainer had filled every place on the Grand National podium, cementing Mullins’ status as a titan of the sport. The victory also served as a poignant tribute to the horse’s late co-owner, Sadie Andrews, who had purchased Nick Rockett with her husband Stewart before her passing in December 2022. For Willie Mullins, the race was a deeply personal milestone. Reflecting afterwards, he said: “To put your son on a Grand National winner… what a special day for him, as a jockey and as a person.” While winning the race as a trainer was a wonderful achievement, sharing it with his son was beyond words.

    Print Care & Preparation

    When your print arrives in the post, do not open it straight away.
    Resisting that urge is crucial for preserving your artwork.

    Print CareYour print is a fine art product and, while robust, it’s still delicate.

    The tube it is posted in offers vital protection during transport and storage. Here’s why taking it directly to your framer is the best approach: Unrolling is easy, but re-rolling and re-inserting the artwork back into the tube without damaging it can be quite challenging.

    Professional Handling: Framers are equipped with the right tools and expertise (and often cotton gloves!) to safely unroll, inspect, and prepare your print for framing without causing any accidental creases, smudges, or tears.

    Framing

    Prints tend to look there best behind simple clean frames. The best frame colours to use are plain white, black, grey or
    ash white moulding. I would advise to leave the 40cm white border as it displays the title of the print and the artist signa-
    ture which gives a feel of authenticty your limited editon print.

    Mounts

    Always place your print behind glass. While our fine art paper is quite robust, it remains a paper-based print and requires
    the essential protection that glass provides.
